Life Happens....

It seems as if so much is going on right now...but in actuality nothing's going on at all...

I've deactivated by FB account to concentrate on studying for the Bar. It's July 28-29 and I MUST pass or I'll bury myself in a hole! lol.

I graduated last Sunday from Law school! The 3 years of hell are OVER!!! YESSS! I thought back to when I graduated from high school and college and everything that has happened since then. MANNNN....life happens!

I am such a planner and if there's one thing I've learned it's that you can't plan LIFE! Life is going to happen regardless if you plan or don't. And it might happen according to your plan or not. What I'm trying to do now is to accept that my law plan was MEANT to happen because it HAS....but some other things I'd plan that haven't happened aren't supposed to right now!

I guess "life happens" has the same meaning as "everything happens for a reason." The hard part is finding that reason! Honestly, it's a blessing if you EVER find the reason why some things happen the way they do.

I hope one day that I'll truly understand why my life has happened the way it has. Til then......I'll just keep believing that THIS is the way it's supposed to be....

Ok, SO I'm Team Q! LOL....no I'm not delusional! I seriously think those boys ganged up on him! Sometimes people go through things in their life and they handle those things differently (ie maybe they don't wanna talk about it, or they seclude themselves). Well, I think Q always meant well and I can see how he thought that the 4 other guys were ganging up on him! No one eve pulled him to the side, privately, and talked to the boy! Hell, had that been me I would have LEFT the group!

Team Ambers! Ok ok....NOT saying that I'd hang with the Ambers in real life...actually I wouldn't hang with any of the girls on there! BUT, I think the "fab 5" or whatever are a bunch of punks! First of all they follow each other too much...none of them has their own mind to stand up for what they believe in. Next, the Ambers didn't do a damn thing to them! They just liked doin their own thing...soooo....let them! And when them girls put Amber's clothes on the roof and on that tape I would've gone to jail!! Just the thought that someone had the audacity to go through my stuff makes me CRINGE!

College Hill

I never actually watched College Hill until this season. I'm .....Team Kyle! Yep, that boy is HILARIOUS! So many people say that he's ignorant...etc...and he might be...BUT it's TV! I mean how many people can say that the show would be half as entertaining without Kyle. Plus, he reminds me of Mr. Brown from Madea (with his ashy knees) lol. I'm all about positive/quality TV...but I'm also a realist....and that SHIT IS BORING (take note of Harlem Heights!)

I'm just sayin'!

SOO, I had to get this OFF my mind! Now, I've NEVER written a blog about ANYTHING having to do with Greek Life.....but there's a first time for everything right?

Well, I'm just wondering what has happened to people having a meaningful process? Like these days all you have to do is look good on paper! Good GPA, good recommendations, etc. and you'll get the call that asks you to be apart of whatever organization! But one thing a piece of paper DOESN'T tell you is someone's character, ambition, determination, attitude, and willingness to WORK for something they believe in!

Whatever happened to hard work? Whatever happened to "good things come to those who wait?" or "nothing worth having comes easy?" Have both of these sayings and mentalities gone out the door? These days people aren't willing to work at ANYTHING! There's so much more to gain from a process and different experiences! Things that CANNOT be taught from a book!

And people, I'm NOT talking about being kicked, beat, or whatever else. I mean WTF does that teach you except that the shit hurts? I'm talking about how to endure situations, think on your feet, respect those who came before you, learn DEEPER knowledge about your actual CHAPTER that isn't in a book, bond with your linesisters, be vulnerable, let your guard down, come out of your shell...etc.

Hell, I got the same amount of sleep when I was online as I did when I was bringing my Neos in....and that was NONE! I had to pass the same knowledge I had on to them! Knowledge that couldn't be gained from ANY book! Knowledge that had been passed to me from those before me!

Now, all anyone is interested in is having people on the "yard"....who cares if their quality or not! Maybe they should carry around their "quality applications" to prove they are good people because they were definitely NOT judged on anything else.

Things take time people! Some things just CANNOT be learned in DAYS! And if you want it bad enough then time shouldn't matter! But I guess as one of my Linesisters said to me...."Jennifer, they just don't make 'em like us anymore."

I'm BACK!!

SOO, I've been gone from the blogging thing for a minute!! SO SORRY! I've seriously either not had anything to write about or I was just being lazy and didn't want to write!

I just got back from my Spring Break trip to Vegas. It was fun! I won some money then spent it! lol. The day I got back home was the 2 month mark for GRADUATION!!! I'm too excited! These last 3 years of law school hell have been interesting, but I'm certainly MORE THEN READY for it to be OVER!

I graduate on Mary 24, 2009 at 3pm!!! YESSS. However, no I get absolutely NO break! My Bar Prep classes actually start BEFORE I graduate AND continue until I take the Bar at the end of July!! So, my break comes in AUGUST because that will be the month between the time I take the exam and the time I get the results!

I'm literally traveling EVERY single weekend in the month of August!!! I can't wait because it will be MUCH deserved! 10 hours of studying EVERYDAY (7 days a week) for 2 months is going to be exhausting! BUT, 2 months for the rest of my life seems like a fair trade off!

So, I'd appreciate everyone NOT calling me and asking me if I'm going to the next big party or I wanna do dinner...whatever...cause the answer is going to be NO! I have my whole life ahead of me to do all that! BUT now it's time to be SERIOUS!

A once in a Lifetime Trip to the GYM

SOOO, Ryen went with me to the gym today! WOW, she hasn't been to the gym in at lest 5 years! lol. Well, the plan was to do 45 mins of cardio then 1 hour of strength training with my personal trainer.

Here's how the convo. went when she got to my house:

Me: Are you ready!?!? (laughing)

Ryen: ughhhhh

Me: So we're going to do cardio first and you'll probably get bored since you don't have an iPod.

Ryen: What's cardio?

Me: HUH? (as I start laughing)

Ryen: I mean is that like stairs and stuff?

Me: um yea. I do the elliptical though.

Ryen: What's the elliptical?

Me: OMG, are you serious?

hahahahahahahaha.

Well we get to the gym and start our cardio. We both did well despite the HOT ass gym that refuses to turn on the air right now! ugh.

SOO, the next hour was with Marcus, my trainer. We started with abs which killed BOTH of us. Then we did legs, and both of us did good. Then it was on to arms! LMFAO...Ryen couldn't hang. She had to take her weight down to 3 pound weights! And Marcus upped mine to 15 :-\

Well by 2 I felt like we'd be in the gym FOREVER! But Ryen you did better then I thought you would...LMFAO!!!!

Greensboro needs to DO BETTER!!!

SOO, lately I've seen some strange things! LOL

Starting with Tuesday: So me and Charity went to Ham's to get the cookie skillet (that thing is like crack! it's the BEST dessert EVER!) Well, we got out the car and started walking to the door when this woman pulls up in her CAR!

Woman: Umm, excuse me, but, I mean yall can tell I'm not lying cause they baby is in the back of the car, but can yall lend me some money to get diapers?

Me: HUH? (I'm sure I made one of those

Woman: The baby doesn't have any diapers and I don't know anything else to do except drive around and ask for money.

Me AND Charity: Sorry, we don't have any cash (which was TRUE!)

Woman: Ok, thank you, I just didn't know what to do.

**OK, sooooo since when do people WITH CARS drive around asking for money!?!??! Strange!

Next thing was yesterday when I was driving down Randlemen Road from the gym I notice to my left (of this FOUR lane road with a center turning lane!!!) Well what do I see?!?! A damn 4 year old boy pushing his grandma in her wheelchair across the street! OMG! WTF! The boy couldn't even see over the top of the chair!!!! Like, sorry, but I'm NOT letting Jordan push me across a busy ass road! Hell, I already can't walk being that I'm in a wheelchair BUT dang, I'm not trying to DIE!

THEN, today! I go to get Chinese food before class. So I order my food and I'm waiting or whatever when I look up at this girl (who is looking ROUGH!) THIS fool had that "throw-up" dish or whatever...like the ones from the hospital...IN HER HANDS! Her mom gonna tell her to sit down and she said she felt better standing up!

UMMM WHY ARE YOU IN THE CHINESE RESTAURANT IF YOU'RE SICK! AND WHY DO YOU HAVE THE THROW-UP DISH WITH YOU! Like my stomach got WEAK! ugh

TO Wax or NOT to Wax?!?!

SOO, guys you might wanna gon head and leave! LOL (although I'd REALLY like for you to read this! lol)

OK, how many of you have ever had a Brazilian wax (raise your hand!) lol. UMMM, just thinking about it makes a tear roll down my face! Guys kill me with this whole "I love waxed girls" crap! UGH...that shit is NO joke! I think God made us with the need of pubic hair! LOL cause it hurts tooooooooooooooo much to wax!

That is perhaps the most painful experiences ever.....and it doesn't get any better after you've gone a few times! Me, personally, I don't think it's worth it! Hell, do guys even APPRECIATE the PAIN we go thru for that?!?! LOL...doubt it!
